Kolhapur all set for two new malls !!!

The mall culture is all set to finally find its place in kolhapur with multi-brand retail outlets emerging day by day. Many kolhapurkars are preferring hypermarkets over their usual grocery store. Right from the inception  of Big bazaar in 2007 kolhapur has seen a tremendous growth in its hypermarket sector. D-mart, N-mart, Vishal Mega Mart, Star Bazzar, Reliance Super found thier way in kolhapur.
This year Kolhapur finally got its first mall 'The Reliance Mega mall' and now with the inception of of reliance mega, kolhapur is all set to get two more malls , Tata Croma and the D.Y Patil mall.
Tata Croma is located near 'pitli ganpati'chowk in tarabai park and the D.Y Patil mall is on the old p.b road besides the railway crossing flyover.

Reliance Mall Kolhapur!!!

From an old central bus stand to a kandha-batata market and now finally a MALL,the prime property on Subhash road has seen many phases, anyhow kolhapurkars are finally getting a 'proper' mall. I emphasized on the word proper because the word MALL has been used many a times for many places in the city which unfortunately are not even close of calling a mall. Now speaking about The Reliance Mega Mall, its located on subhash road near uma talkies and has a built up area of approx 1.5lakh sq-ft , it has various reliance stores, a multiplex, gaming zones, food joints and the other stores are either leased or franchised. The mall construction started about 3 years before by a aurangabad developer tapadia and he named the mall as "The City Centre Mall" with 365 stores, but unfortunately due to some litigation's he passed the property on to Reliance and now its called as the " Reliance Mega".
